Benefits Of Sports Massage For Athletes

sports massage toowoombaWhile athletes, both amature and professional have long sworn by the benefits of massage, both for recovery and during preparation, sports massage has had its doubters.  Despite the willingness of professional athletes to keep massage therapists on the permanent payroll, there has not been much evidence until recently that this has had any real positive benefits.

Thanks to new studies, backed by reputable researchers the benefits of sports massage are finally being taken seriously by the medical profession and sports coaches alike.

Those benefits are not just for the full time professional athlete.  Research has shown that anyone who participates in an exercise program can benefit from regular massage.
